Since I've gotten several requests for this from you guys, I have added Veoh.com support to Overstream. Veoh is a great video site with high-quality video.
Not all the videos on Veoh.com are supported:
- Only videos actually hosted on Veoh.com are supported, not videos from YouTube or MetaCafe which sometimes turn up on Veoh.com.
- Videos longer than 20 minutes are not currently supported. The reason for this is that Veoh has a policy whereby longer videos only appear as 5 minute previews on the site and to watch the whole video you must install Veoh TV application on your computer. For details, see this Veoh Forum Thread.
Huge thanks go out to Overstream User negitoro, who helped with testing and his general Veoh knowledge. |

On Oct. 18, Veoh changed their 20min stream viewing to 30min therefore, videos longer than 30 mins has only 5min preview.
Hope you guys can change your limit on Veoh videos.
Thanks.

| Now, smurfy, I've heard about this before, however, I can still see the official 20 minute limit posted as a locked announcement on the Veoh FAQ Forum. Could you point me to any official Veoh source mentioning the 30 minute limit change? |

Your point is taken, smurfy. I have raised the limit for Veoh to 30 minutes.
Keep in mind however that since it appears that Veoh is officially still declaring that 20+ minute videos will appear as previews, they could change their implementation from 30 minutes to 20 minutes, in which case needless to say your overstreams based on 20-30 minute Veoh videos will not work as intended.
Smurfy, I do hope you are going to sub a 30 minute Veoh video and make it public on Overstream. |
